Dr. Sylvia Manzano

Sylvia Manzano (Ph. D., University of Arizona, 2004) is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Texas A&M. She currently serves as Co-Director for the Project for Representation, Equity and Governance. Her interests include Latino politics and policy, race and ethnicity in American politics as they relate to Latino participation, and ethnic group preferences across the states and how they are absorbed in public policy. Some of her work has been published in The Politics of Space, Place, and Region; Political Research Quarterly; and Latino Politics.
Dr. Manzano's research has been supported by the National Science Foundation, the Ford Foundation, and the Social Science Research Council.
